You cant stop Amiga!

Se we are entering the fourth and final quarter of 2025, we are now in 40 plus years territory for Amiga world and from what I can see and what’s been announced over the past few months, the Amiga world continues to be in a very strong position.

Since my last blog and Amiga 40 celebrations, we had The A1200 announced by Retro Games Ltd, a full size (likely emulated) A1200 replica. The Apollo / Vampire team announced their A6000 computer, a FPGA apollo 4 in a A600 style case. (updated the FPGA Amigas page to cover this)

Amigakit also seem to tease a possible A4000, in a tweet and the fact they secured the A4000.com domain, I have also heard that Checkmark / steve jones wants to do a tower thats nods to the A4000 Tower. So we might have another Amiga type machine on the way! Indeed Amigakit A1200NG / A600GS seem like they had success and are receiving quite a few updates, a big one is a modern web browser for Amibench, its custom ArosOS for these platform. If you want to learn more about these projects, Epsilon drop a big blog post about building and using A1200NG system, highly recommend if your interested in the platform. https://www.epsilonsworld.com/2025/09/my-a1200ng-amiga-system-build.html?m=1

Another interesting low cost case option also was announced CX6000 at just 60euro its nice way to have a low cost self build A600 like case, details http://www.norths.de/das-cx600-universalgehaeuse-ist-fertig/

I have also been going back in time to the early days of the Amiga, reading some of the early magazine that covered the Amiga, like Amazing computer / Amiga https://archive.org/details/amazing-computing-magazine?page=3&sort=-date

Or the Games Machine, https://archive.org/details/TheGamesMachine14Jan89/TheGamesMachine/TheGamesMachine01-Oct87/

It’s great that these are on the Internet Archive and reading them on my tablet has been fun and finding out about some really classic Amiga games and some criminally overlooked ones. Amiga Most overlooked Graphically Impressive Game! The Godfather

I posted some short videos of some on my X account, https://x.com/amigang/ I plan to get them on Blue sky too ( https://bsky.app/profile/amigang.bsky.social ), and cover more in the future. Thanks to all my followers on there, people seem to like them.

So I got tickets and packing to do for the Amiga Germany 40, looking likely to be one of the biggest Amiga shows in a long while. Hope to see you all there, it’s amazing that Amiga is still going so strong!
