Amiga Bundle boxes

As any Amiga fan will know, Commodore Amiga came up with a very successful idea, to not just sell computers, but to sell dreams and created some very cool Amiga bundles. The most successful one of these was the A500 Batman Pack, Batman was a hot propriety at the time with the huge movie (Batman 1989) just coming out. This was also a big title for Ocean and the Amiga version in particular was very good, with amazing graphics for it time in the Driving sections.

This bundle helped sell 10,000s Amiga 500 and so Commodore continued this tradition making new bundles every few years to shift Amigas. There are dozen bundles and collection made. I always liked the box art that Commodore did for these bundles.

Every year at Chritsmas I’m getting down my lights and decorations for season and see my original Amiga Box, the A1200 Computer Combat Box. Its always a joy to see it and saw another Amiga youtuber having a load of Amiga boxes as display pieces and I thought I would like to do that, but just don’t have the room for it. A few months later I saw someone had printed out a mini box of Amiga Magic Pack, that someone had done.

I thought that’s perfect, that be cool to have my original box art like that, unfortunately no one had the art work for my computer pack, Plakativ-druck had done some box reproduction for sale, but I don’t want a big box and I kinda felt this art work should be free for all. Another Amiga fan Vasilis Psomiadis has also restored and remade a lot old Amiga artwork and material, he done amazing job, but again, not as full box and the box art I was looking for wasn’t there.

Normally I would just leave it as that and move on, but something said, no I done a little be art work / photo editing I can make it myself, so I made it as a mini box, printed out and it was really cool to have, but I also found a old Cassette case, and just thought, hay its about the size of Amiga box and the right scale, what if I made it in this size and print it out as a Cassette Label, it turned out better than I thought.

So over the past year on and off, when I had a bit of free time I have been making the rest of the Amiga boxes, I am not a professional and this are not meant to be 1 to 1 accurate reproductions, it’s just one mad man fan project, that in my personal opinion turned out better than I thought.

So I recommend you get yourself some old Cassette, some glossy printing paper and print out these little boxes for display. Enjoy.
